Grahame is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with over 40 years experience in the construction industry. For much of this time he has worked for major contractors and developers undertaking the lead commercial role on site from procurement to agreement of the account. These projects have ranged from new build office and university buildings, housing developments, schools and retail fit outs to banks and historic building refurbishments.
Since 2005 Grahame has concentrated on establishing quantum entitlement for contractors on a variety of projects, valuing often complex variation and final accounts and managing them to agreement. He has also administered a number of projects under the NEC 3 form of contract ensuring the time and notice protocols are adhered to and bringing the accounts to a successful conclusion. In addition, Grahame also has extensive experience of the JCT forms of Contract and the common bespoke amendments.
Grahame provides advice and analysis on the quantum aspects of often complex adjudications plus drafting the subsequent submissions.
Grahame also engages with forensic delay analysts in reviewing and submitting the loss and expense costs associated with extensions of time.
He has a post graduate diploma in arbitration (DipArb), is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and is a member of the Society of Construction Law.
